A dash means the page does not state it. Before tax, promotions or payment plans. Trust & Will offers payment plans of '4 equal, interest-free payments'; EZ Will and Trust is 'primarily offered as a one-time purchase'.
Trust & Will, $499 one person, $599 couples. Its compare table lists 'Last will and testament, HIPAA authorization, Living will, Power of attorney, Trust funding guide, Certification of trust, Revocable living trust, Schedule of assets'1. The trust page calls the will a 'Pour-Over Will' that 'ensures any assets not directly placed in your Trust are transferred into it upon your passing', and describes the Certification of Trust as 'A summary document proving your Trust exists without revealing all its details'2. Membership is $49/year and Attorney Support '+$299', both optional1.
LegalZoom, $399 Basic or $549 Premium for one person. Basic lists 'Living trust, Pour-over will, Healthcare directive, Financial power of attorney, HIPAA authorization, Certificate of trust, Schedule of assets, Bill of transfer, 30 days of free revisions, Printing & shipping of one set of documents'. Premium adds 'Unlimited 30 min attorney consultations for 1 year', which 'renews at $199/year', unlimited revisions for a year and an annual one-hour review. The couples packages ($499 and $649) carry two of each supporting document4.
EZ Will and Trust, $550 single or $650 joint. The Trust Package lists 'Revocable Living Trust, Certificate of Trust, Pour-Over Will, Durable Financial Power of Attorney, Advance Healthcare Directive with HIPAA, Editable Documents, 1 Year Document Storage', with storage at '$19.99/year thereafter'. Its FAQ adds that 'Joint Trust packages also include separate supporting documents for each spouse or partner'8. The package step inside the questionnaire shows the same two prices9.
WillMaker, $149 Plus Plan. The Starter Plan ($109) covers 'Wills, Healthcare Care Directive, Final Arrangements' only; Plus adds 'Durable Power of Attorney, Letters to Survivors, Living Trust, Transfer on Death Deed' and a download version; All Access ($219) adds a one-year document storage subscription. A pour-over will is made by naming the trust as beneficiary of the will. Revisions are free for a year, then $39.99 to renew10.
LawDepot. The living trust is one template among all documents: 7-day trial renewing at $49/month, estate planning documents at $35/month or $107.88/year, all documents at $155.88/year, or a single document at a one-time $7.50 to $119 (the page does not say where the trust falls in that range). A Pour-Over Will is listed as a separate related document67.
Notarizing. Trust & Will's FAQ: 'Notarization is required for most Living Trusts. It may be possible to create a Trust without notarization, but most states require that the Trust be notarized in order to hold real property. Additionally, many banks and financial institutions will require your Trust to be notarized. A Trust, unlike a Will, does not need to be signed in front of any witnesses unless you live in Florida.'2 LawDepot's step 2: 'sign it in front of a notary public'; 'If you name someone other than yourself as the trustee, that person must also sign'6. WillMaker's FAQ: 'Living trusts are notarized'10. EZ Will and Trust's signing instructions say 'Most states require two adult witnesses (notary is your 2nd witness)' and list 'Notarization (Required)'9. These are the services' statements; the statute for your state is the rule. Our California and Florida pages quote the trust code of each.
Funding. LegalZoom: 'If you die without funding your living trust, your estate will be subject to the probate process. For assets where you own the title, like real estate, you must legally transfer ownership to the trust.' Its step 3 is 'Sign and transfer ownership to your trust'4. LawDepot's step 3: 'File a new deed transferring the property to the trust's name' for real estate and 'Update title or ownership information with your bank or brokerage' for accounts6. Trust & Will: 'Assets you transfer to your trust will fall under the specific protections and provisions you've outlined. We'll provide a handy guide'2. LegalZoom's FAQ adds that a 401k cannot be transferred into a living trust4.
Costs the packages do not include. None of the pages lists a notary fee or a county deed recording fee; those are paid where you sign and record. LegalZoom's attorney plan renews at $199/year after the first year on Premium4; EZ Will and Trust's storage renews at $19.99/year8; WillMaker's revision period renews at $39.9910; Trust & Will's membership is $49/year1.
Step 1
Trust & Will, LegalZoom, EZ Will and Trust and WillMaker sell a package. LawDepot, Rocket Lawyer and US Legal Forms sell access, and a trial that renews unless cancelled.
Step 2
A pour-over will and a certificate of trust are in every one-time package; a power of attorney and directive are in most. Compare that to the will price at the same service.
Step 3
LegalZoom Premium's year of calls renews at $199/year. Trust & Will's attorney support is a flat $299 add-on. Rocket Lawyer counts attorney questions per tier.
Step 4
Each service tells you to notarize and to retitle assets. The statute in your state decides what makes the trust valid.
Good for a one-time trust package with a POA and directive
Good for a state trust form you complete yourself
Good for a template with step-by-step notarizing and funding
Good for a one-time price with an optional year of attorney calls
Good for a trust with the Will Plan documents bundled
WillMaker's Plus Plan at $149, which adds a living trust, a durable power of attorney and a transfer on death deed to the $109 Starter Plan. It is software with state-specific signing instructions; WillMaker says it cannot be used for a Louisiana plan.
Our arithmetic from each service's own prices on Oct 14, 2026: $300 at Trust & Will ($499 against $199), $270 at LegalZoom (Basic $399 against Basic $129), $401 at EZ Will and Trust ($550 against $149) and $40 at WillMaker ($149 against $109). The trust packages carry more documents, so the gap is not for the trust alone.
Trust & Will, LegalZoom, EZ Will and Trust and WillMaker each say so in their own words (WillMaker by naming the trust as the will's beneficiary). LawDepot lists the Pour-Over Will as a separate document.
Trust & Will: $599. LegalZoom: $499 Basic, $649 Premium, with two of each supporting document. EZ Will and Trust: $650 joint. WillMaker lets you make up to five of each document on one plan.
No page we read includes a notary or recording fee. LawDepot sells an online notary service separately and says it cannot be used for a living trust in New York or Minnesota.
That depends on your state's trust statute and how the document is signed, not on the service. See the California and Florida pages linked below for the statute text, and speak to a lawyer licensed in your state about your own trust.
